Kevin Gregory - a.k.a thatchefkev - is a restaurant consultant, chef and creative director specializing in the food and beverage industry.
Beginning his career as a pastry cook at a fine dining restaurant, Kevin developed a passion for the food and beverage industry. His fascination with hospitality’s ability to create small but impactful moments of joy is the driving force behind what he does and is an integral part of how he approaches the design of service experiences.
From pastry, Kevin went on to work for large scale caterers, event planning businesses, and kitchen designers as well as freelancing as a graphic designer. His research into the application of Design Thinking as it applies to the hospitality industry, paired with his multi-disciplinary approach led him to enter a career in hospitality consulting with a focus on food and beverage, assisting entrepreneurs develop financially feasible businesses.
Kevin has a wide range of experience and has worked with hundreds of clients in NYC as well as across the United States and abroad. He has worked on everything from breweries and wine bars to fast-casual concepts, Michelin-starred French restaurants, bakeries, pizzerias, and more. In addition, he has done work for hotels, retail brands, mixed use developments and wholesale products.
His mission is to assist operators and business owners discover creative solutions to find success in today’s market; building businesses on a strong conceptual and financial foundation.
Kevin is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
